Senior Shift Technician
Location: London (Hayes)
We are currently recruiting for multiple DCS Senior Shift Technicians to join a high-profile, mission-critical data centre environment in London.
This is a hands-on technical role within a live, 24/7 critical facility, supporting infrastructure operations across data halls and associated systems. The position offers excellent long-term stability, structured progression, and exposure to a highly regulated, Tier-level environment.

- 2 x Continental Shift (Days & Nights)
- 2 x Continental Shift (Days Only)
Package
- £57,984 basic salary
- Overtime available
- Circa 3-4% salary increase (April 2026 - not guaranteed)
- Non-contractual bonus (circa 3-4%)
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the operational delivery of the data centre, ensuring all service levels and KPIs are met while maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient environment.
This is a technically focused role involving:
- Monitoring and responding to alarms across BMS, SCADA, VESDA and other systems
- Racking, stacking, patching and hardware installations
- Break-fix and infrastructure support within data halls
- Managing ServiceNow requests and workflow queues
- Supporting permit systems (e-permit / TCM)
- Escalating incidents and ensuring timely resolution
- Maintaining SLA/KPI compliance across all activities
- Working closely with Shift Leaders and site management
You'll also play a key role in maintaining standards across plant rooms, comms rooms, and data halls, ensuring all work is delivered to client expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a data centre or critical environment (essential)
- Strong understanding of data hall operations / IT infrastructure handling
- Experience with monitoring systems (BMS, SCADA, or similar)
- Familiarity with permit systems and safe systems of work
- Ability to work in a shift-based, 24/7 environment
- Strong communication skills and client-facing approach
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
