Data Engineer

Python Developer/ Data Engineer - London- Hybrid- 750 p/d Inside- 6 Month Contract

We are working with a Commodity Trading client currently looking for a Senior Python Developer/Data Engineer to join their fast paced, front-office trading desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new features and enhancements for a range of Python-based front-office tools.
• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of changes, from initial analysis and solution design through to implementation and release.
• Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting where required.
• Engage regularly with end users and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of each change.
• Follow the organisation’s software development and DevOps best practices and standards.
• Maintain clear documentation for system changes, testing scenarios, and implementation details.

Required Skills

• At least 5+ years of commercial experience in a trading environment
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with UI using Streamlit / Dash / Plotly / React
• Very strong communication skills

The position is for a Six Month Contract with the view of extension beyond this.
