Account Manager
Location: London-based (or commutable distance)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + OTE
Start date: May 2026
Experience: 4+ years
ABOUT US:
Between 2010 and 2020, consumer brands had a clear playbook. Predictable acquisition costs, stable retail landscapes, and straightforward growth mechanics. That playbook is broken. Ad costs rose. Predictability dropped. The market shifted. Brands now need to run leaner and focus on efficiency, retention and long-term value.
At the same time, AI moved from theory to reality. It is reshaping commerce on two fronts. External AI is changing how consumers experience your brand through search, conversion and eventually agentic shopping. Internal AI is changing how businesses operate through automation, augmentation and efficiency gains. Most brands cannot navigate both alone. Single-service agencies cannot either. That is where ROIROI comes in.
We are a global team of 60+ specialists spread across London, Stockholm, Wroclaw and Manila, bringing together design, development, data, marketing and AI expertise under one roof.
Our clients include Christopher Ward, House of Hackney, Skin Rocks, Cubitts, Klättermusen and brands from Sweden’s largest fashion retailer. We work across Shopify and Centra.
We also produce Offcuts, a content platform covering commerce, AI and culture. If you have not come across it, go and check it out. It matters to us, and the topics we cover will matter to you in this role.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Account Manager because we need someone who loves being in rooms, loves clients, and loves revenue. Not necessarily in that order.
The primary function is to manage and grow our UK client portfolio. That means being the person our clients want to call, not the person they have to call. It means showing up to their offices, going to their events, understanding their business well enough to spot the next opportunity before they do, and then making that happen.
This is not a project management role. We have excellent project managers. What we need is someone who takes genuine ownership of client relationships, drives account growth, contributes to new business development, and is not afraid to have a direct conversation about money.
Each week will be a mix of structured account work and opportunistic. Some weeks you will be running a client session on AI and what it means for their brand. Other weeks you will be at an industry event making introductions. Occasionally you will be helping land a new project. All of it matters.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must Have's:
- Proven experience in a client-facing, commercially accountable role at a digital, creative or technology agency OR platform OR in-house at a consumer brand
- Demonstrable track record of growing accounts and retaining clients
- Comfortable talking about money: scoping, commercials, late invoices, upsells, all of it
- Background in or exposure to AI tools and automation workflows
- A genuine interest in AI and the ability to hold a credible conversation about it with a senior brand-side stakeholder.
- Strong network in the UK D2C or broader brand ecosystem, or the drive and personality to build one fast
- Excellent communicator, written and verbal, across Slack, email and in a room
Nice To Have's:
- Existing relationships in fashion, beauty, homeware or FMCG
- Experience working with Shopify or Centra clients
ABOUT YOU:
This role would suit someone who:
Is wired to be commercial. Loves winning things. Gets a genuine buzz from a deal landing or a client renewing.
Is not squeamish about money conversations. You understand that a late invoice is your problem to resolve, not someone else's.
Can hold their own in a room with a founder, a head of e-commerce, or a CFO, and make all three feel like you are on their side.
Has enough confidence in their own point of view to push back when it is the right thing to do.
Is genuinely curious about AI, not performatively curious. You read things. You try things. You have opinions.
Thrives in environments where no two weeks look the same and where no one is standing over you telling you what to do next.
Wants to be part of building something, not just executing against a brief that already exists.
OUR OFFER:
- £65,000 - £75,000 + OTE
- WeWork London pass (we are in Tuesday to Thursday as a base, with flexibility)
- Home office budget
- Tech kit to do your best work (Mac, the usual)
- Flexible working including Summer Fridays and a Work From Abroad allowance
- The freedom to pursue side projects. We genuinely mean it.
- Exposure to the UK (and beyond) commerce, technology and AI ecosystem through Offcuts and the events and conversations that come with it.
WHERE WE WORK:
Office-first with flex. We aim to be in WeWork London Tuesday to Thursday. Mondays and Fridays are typically remote. We travel to clients when it makes sense. This role needs someone who is London-based or close enough that getting in is not a daily ordeal.
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
Our process is designed to give you as much information as us.
Stage 1: A 60-minute interview. We dig into your experience, you dig into ours. Ask anything.
Stage 2: A short presentation task. We will give you a real problem we are working through. The objective is to see how you think, not whether you have the right answer.
Stage 3: A final face-to-face meetup at our offices in London.
Please note we do not offer visa sponsorship
