Apprentice Information and Communication Technician
Routeco are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their IT team as an Apprentice Information and Communication Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience, develop key technical skills, and earn a recognised qualification while supporting our colleagues and helping drive the business forward.
Role
Your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Providing polite, professional first-line IT support to colleagues, logging and updating incidents and service requests through the Service Desk system
- Troubleshooting basic hardware, software, Microsoft 365, network, telephony and access-related issues, escalating more complex matters when required
- Assisting with setting up, configuring and issuing IT equipment for new starters, movers and existing users
- Supporting routine user administration tasks, including password resets, account checks and access queries in line with IT procedures
- Maintaining accurate documentation, following cyber security and IT policies, and actively taking part in apprenticeship learning and development activities
Training
You will work towards the: Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard. Functional Skills if necessary. Training will be delivered through day release to MK College alongside your workplace learning.
