First senior product hire | Hands-on individual contributor role
Every day, professional services firms introduce clients to one another and share opportunities, expertise and revenue.
It is a huge part of how accountants, financial advisers, lawyers and other professionals serve their clients, yet much of it is still fragmented across email, spreadsheets, CRMs and informal processes.
RQ is building the infrastructure for this collaboration economy.
Our ambition is to become the ledger of record for referrals between professional services firms: capturing opportunities wherever they originate, connecting into the systems firms already use, and providing a trusted record of what happened next.
We have a number of significant enterprise deployments underway and an expanding ecosystem of integrations. The opportunity now is to turn that distribution into deeper, habitual product adoption.
We’re looking for our first senior product hire to help us do it.
The RoleThis is initially an individual-contributor role.
We’re looking for a product builder who is excellent at turning an ambitious product vision into clear priorities, well-scoped products and high-quality execution.
You’ll work directly with our founder and CTO and own product problems end-to-end - from discovery and definition, through delivery and testing, to measuring what happened after launch. Over time, there is scope to build the product function around you.
What You’ll Do- Turn RQ’s long-term product vision into clear priorities and executable milestones.
- Own product problems end-to-end: research, scoping, requirements, delivery, acceptance and iteration.
- Drive activation and adoption across large enterprise deployments.
- Help make integrations a genuine product advantage and establish RQ as the ledger of record across multiple systems.
- Work closely with customers, engineers and commercial teams to identify the highest-value problems to solve.
- Use customer research, product data and commercial signals to diagnose problems and measure impact.
- Make good trade-offs between user experience, enterprise requirements, technical complexity and commercial value.
- Break ambitious ideas into focused experiments and pragmatic releases.
- Maintain a high bar for product quality and usability.
- Identify where AI and automation can materially improve both the product and the way we build it.
- 5+ years’ experience building software products, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Strong track record of taking ambiguous problems and turning them into products customers actually use.
- Excellent product judgement and strong UX instincts.
- Experience with complex workflows, integrations or enterprise software.
- Technically fluent enough to discuss APIs, data flows and trade-offs with engineers.
- Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of how product affects adoption, retention and growth.
- Highly comfortable using modern AI tools to research, prototype, analyse and work faster.
- Able to move comfortably between strategy and detailed execution.
- Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving team.
Experience in fintech, professional services, CRM or regulated software would be useful, but isn’t essential.
Why RQ?You’ll join at a point where we have meaningful enterprise distribution, a clear product vision and a significant opportunity to make RQ an increasingly important part of how professional services businesses work together.
You won’t inherit a large product organisation. You’ll work directly with our founder, CTO, customers and engineers, with real ownership over how the product develops.
For the right person, the opportunity is simple: take a well-positioned product and make it indispensable.
