Programme Manager (Modern Workplace)

We are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager (Modern Workplace) to join our established and experienced CIO team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role

The purpose of this role is to manage the end-to-end delivery process across a number of workstreams for simple to complex programmes. You are accountable for working with cross-functional teams to ensure that programmes and projects are completed within agreed outcomes and scope (typically cost, time and quality). Your leadership and stakeholder management is of pivotal importance to success in this role. Our programme managers are empowered to define their team's ways of working and choosing the best technique to successfully deliver the scope of work. Programme and Project Managers together with Heads of Portfolio are jointly focused on supporting platform owners and technical leads to manage the platform lifecycle and roadmap, optimising the flow of work to realise value sooner. You will be responsible for driving and delivering change and leading a Team and acting as a Critical Partner to the Head of Modern Workplace and Operations.You will likely lead other project managers and may provide line management support to them, as needed by the nature of the change you are leading. As a member of the Head of Portfolio's Delivery Team, you contribute to the overall success of the Portfolio, through your leadership as well as planning, tracking and reporting activities.
About You

You will be an expert in Stakeholder engagement and management to enable buy in and timely decision making as well as having gravitas when speaking with senior managers and stakeholders. You will develop and maintain programme and project plans, manage, monitor and report on both programme and project progress. You will manage risks, issues and dependencies to enable the achievement of programme and project objectives We are also looking for the following Soft Skills and Programme Management skills.Soft Skills    •   Collaborate, communicate with & manage key stakeholders across the business and its delivery partners to clarify/ refine project outcomes, timescales, quality and cost, with value for the business front of mind    •   Lead culture through how you work and demonstrate our leadership success factors every day    •   Build and maintain relationships across teams to align roadmaps, manage risks    •   Problem solving and decision making, escalating when necessary and in a timely way Programme Management Skills    •   Scoping, planning, estimating & defining programme organization structures and ways of working    •   Risk Management - identify, mitigate and track technical, financial, operational and people risks. Escalate where appropriate and work with other programme/ project managers to identify portfolio and enterprise level risks and ensure they are recorded and have relevant owners    •   Delivery of strategic programmes and projects, ensuring team members have required skills and resources    •   Working knowledge & application of tools across the SDLC and within the wider change framework    •   Influential negotiation and communication to drive various delivery-based decisions
