Java Developer

- L ocation: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite – Solihull)

We are seeking Java and Lead Java Developers with current SC + NPPV3 clearance to support complex engineering, platform integration and live service environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing new features and integrations across secure biometric and identity platforms
- Supporting live, mission-critical systems and troubleshooting production issues
- Building high-quality Java microservices and APIs
- Contributing to Agile delivery teams focused on reliability, performance and secure coding
Core Skills & Experience
- Java
- Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Integration, Spring Batch
- Microservices architecture
- REST & SOAP Web Services
- JPA/Hibernate
- PostgreSQL / Aurora
- ActiveMQ or similar messaging technologies
- CI/CD: Maven, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube
- Docker, Linux
- AWS (EC2, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, KMS, CloudWatch)
- Experience supporting live environments
- Strong Agile mindset (Scrum, TDD, BDD)
Nice to Have
- Angular / Node.js
- SQL performance tuning
- BPMN (Activiti)
- Jaspersoft
- Spring Cloud
- Exposure to secure or regulated environments (Gov, Defence, Policing)
