Technical Business Analyst – Defence Client

• Location: Primary location Glasgow (client HQ). Hybrid delivery possible, but regular on-site presence in Glasgow will be essential for workshops and stakeholder engagement.
• Travel: Additional travel to other Defence client sites may be required.
• Clearance: SC (sole UK national)
• Day Rate: £400–£500 (Inside IR35)
• Start Date: Expected late October / early November 2025 (subject to contract award)
• Duration: 60 days

RT Consulting have been delivering innovative change and transformation to our Defence, Government, and Infrastructure clients for over 15 years. As we continue to expand our Defence portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a major people services programme.

The role:

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across multiple platforms to gather requirements, document data holdings, and produce clear reporting that will underpin a critical transformation programme. The focus will be on identifying where information sits, how it flows across systems, and presenting this in a way that supports decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to capture requirements.
• Map and document data holdings across platforms and applications.
• Produce clear, structured reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to catalogues of data assets, ownership, and classifications.
• Support the programme in establishing a baseline of the current state.

Skills & experience:

• Proven background as a Business Analyst in Defence or Government programmes.
• Strong documentation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise data or information architecture.
• Excellent written communication skills, able to translate complexity into clarity.
• Active SC clearance (sole UK national).
