Technical Project Manager – Defence Client

Location: Primary location Glasgow (client HQ). Hybrid delivery possible, but regular on-site presence in Glasgow will be essential for workshops and stakeholder engagement.

• Travel: Additional travel to other Defence client sites may be required.
• Clearance: SC (sole UK national)
• Day Rate: £500–£550 (Inside IR35)
• Start Date: Expected late October / early November 2025 (subject to contract award)
• Duration: 60 days

For over 15 years, RT Consulting have been delivering complex change and transformation programmes across Defence, Government, and Infrastructure. We are now seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a short, high-impact transformation initiative for one of our key Defence clients.

The role:

You will take ownership of delivery across a 60-day project focused on documenting and improving personnel support systems. Managing multiple stakeholders and deliverables, you will ensure outputs are produced to deadline and meet the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Own project delivery, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
• Manage stakeholder engagement across business and technical areas.
• Oversee the work of Business Analysts and Architects.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Produce clear reporting and updates for client leadership.

Skills & experience:

• Proven track record as a Project Manager in Defence or Government programmes.
• Strong experience in technical and data-related projects.
• Excellent planning, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing short-duration, high-impact projects.
• Active SC clearance (sole UK national).
