RTN Zero Consulting Ltd. is building RTN Zero.AI — an AI-powered sustainability platform designed to help businesses measure environmental impact and move towards Net Zero.
We are offering a paid internship placement for individuals who are passionate about technology, AI, and sustainability. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to a real product journey — from concept through to prototype — in an innovation-driven environment.
💻 Role: Full Stack Software Developer Intern
Join our engineering team to help develop the technical backbone of the RTN Zero.AI platform — from user dashboards to backend services.
✅ What you’ll do
- Build real-world features across the full stack (front-end dashboards + backend services)
- Develop and integrate APIs, data services, and system connections
- Work with databases, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
- Write clean, secure, scalable code with support through reviews and feedback
- Collaborate with product, data, and sustainability teams to turn ideas into working software
- Learn fast, test ideas, ship improvements, and help shape the platform
🎯 Ideal background
- Studying or experienced in Computer Science / Software Engineering (or self-taught through projects)
- Comfortable (or actively learning) Python, TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Familiar with Git/GitHub, APIs, and modern web development fundamentals
- Any exposure to databases, cloud tools, or deployment workflows is a plus
- Curious, motivated, and keen to build tech with real-world sustainability impact

- 3-month paid internship (1st March – 31st May)
- ~8 hours/week
- On-site (Manchester-based)
- £10–£12.21/hour
- Includes mentorship, certification, and professional reference upon completion
