Job DescriptionThe role of Commercial Business Partner is really important to us. You will be responsible for Telematics cost management, ensuring we manage our supplier costs and maximise profitability.
We would love to welcome you to our new Telematics HQ in Crewe, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Your responsibilities day to day will be...
- Lead person for all Telematics revenue management, which will include significant interaction with our senior management team (Chief Revenue Officer, Domestic and International Sales directors, Marketing Director, Legal Director).
- Review and sign off for the monthly and annual re-pricing processes.
- Ownership of Domestic and International Price lists for > 7,500 product price point, including targeted re-pricing proposals, tailored for each market.
- Shape and deliver margin improvement initiatives, ad hoc commercial projects and potential new territories/ acquisitions.
- Providing oversight and insights into our monthly and weekly commercial reporting for Telematics primarily focused on Volume, unit margins and other products / other services which together comprise our growth margin.
- Reporting on current and future performance of Telematics across our 11 territories to various stakeholders and advising on further improvements or corrective courses of action
- Identifying system and process developments alongside our operations and sales teams, promoting continuous improvement
- Working with Financial Operations and the Revenue Business Partner, ensuring we have zero leakage during our billing process
- Supporting the business with relevant ad-hoc project work that impacts pricing, billing, systems and reporting.
- Critical review of current processes and procedures, including proposals for improvement and adequate documentation of SOPs.
- Providing business guidance on the back of the rolling analysis of Unit economics across all products and regions.
What do we expect of you?
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to undertake a range of financial and business modelling tasks.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a similar commercial related role.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise and keep to deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Clear understanding of the drivers of actual weekly and monthly results compared to forecast/budget and prior year.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering measurable business results and driving continuous improvement.
- Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant or equivalent (preferred), qualified through experience.
- Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up.
- Track record of delivering process improvements and harbouring a continuous improvement methodology.
