DevOps Engineer

A fast-growing London-based FinTech firm building secure, scalable, and high-performance financial platforms that power digital payments, lending, and real-time financial services.

As they scale the platform and expand their product offerings, they are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in shaping the cloud infrastructure, automation strategy, and reliability standards.

The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of the infrastructure. You’ll work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with financial regulations.

This is a hands-on technical role with strategic influence — ideal for someone who thrives in high-availability, high-security environments and enjoys mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Lead Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) initiatives
• Improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Drive containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Implement robust monitoring and observability
• Enhance system reliability, availability, and performance
• Champion DevSecOps best practices and automation
• Ensure compliance with financial services regulations and security standards
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy

Requirements Essential:

• 5+ years of DevOps / Platform Engineering experience
• Strong experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud provider)
• Deep knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools
• Experience managing Kubernetes in production
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, or Rust)
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and optimisation
• Understanding of networking, security, and high-availability architectures
