We are working with a rapidly growing, high-performance prime brokerage that is transforming access to global financial markets through cutting-edge technology. They are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead the development of their Fixed Income Risk technology platform.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, technology-driven environment where you will have significant ownership and impact. You will lead the build-out of sophisticated risk and margining systems that support complex fixed income products and directly influence trading and risk strategies across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive the engineering strategy for Fixed Income Risk technology, building low-latency, scalable systems in Python.
• Oversee the design and delivery of margin engines, stress testing frameworks, and real-time risk management tools.
• Collaborate closely with trading, quant, and risk teams to ensure the technology fully supports front office decision-making and regulatory requirements.
• Champion engineering excellence, mentoring and growing a team of talented developers.
• Play a key role in shaping the firms technology roadmap and contributing to its competitive edge in the prime brokerage space.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in engineering or quantitative development within trading, risk management, or prime brokerage.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
• Expert Python developer, with deep knowledge of building robust, production-grade systems.
• Strong domain expertise in Fixed Income products including treasuries, mortgage-backed securities, interest rate swaps, futures, and repo markets.
• Solid quantitative background in risk modeling, margin methodologies, and data analysis.
• Excellent academic credentials in a STEM discipline (Bachelors degree or higher).
