Security Engineer

A newly launched, technology-driven hedge fund is looking for a Security Engineer to help build its security function from the ground up.

This is a genuine greenfield opportunity where you'll have significant ownership over the firm's security architecture, tooling, and processes from day one. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in establishing a modern security programme in a highly technical environment.

Key focus areas:

• Build and own detection & response capabilities, including alerting, threat detection, canaries, and honeypots.

• Design and implement security controls across cloud, infrastructure, and application environments.

• Develop authentication, authorisation, identity, and certificate management frameworks.

• Partner with engineering teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.

• Shape the firm's long-term security architecture and strategy as the platform scales.

We're looking for:

• Strong Security Engineering, Detection Engineering, Blue Team, or Cloud Security experience.

• Hands-on expertise with threat detection, monitoring, and incident response.

• Experience securing modern cloud environments.

• Knowledge of IAM, authentication, authorisation, and PKI.

• Someone who enjoys building systems from scratch and taking ownership of critical security initiatives.
