Virtualization Engineer

Virtualization Engineer - Investment Banking - Knutsford

A Leading Global Investment Bank based in Knutsford is seeking an adept Virtualization Engineer to join their Global Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Banks ongoing efforts to virtualize their Global Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Stakeholders and Application teams to understand functional requirements
• Optimize and enhance Virtualized Infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Virtualized Infrastructure
• Migrate applications to next-gen Virtualization Platforms
• Develop standardized and scalable solutions (where suitable)
• Ensure solutions are both compliant and secure
• Consider risk and cost impact when planning projects

Requirements:

• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation Products (i.e. VMware VCenter, ESX 6.X, SDDC, etc)
• Strong capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents
• Strong documentation skills
• (Nice-to-haves):
• Experience with Containerization tools
• VMware Certification/s
• Knowledge and understanding of Network Technologies (VMware NSX-V & NSX-T)
