Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer, you will work independently to engineer and orchestrate complex data flows and pipelines in a cloud environment. You will design high-quality, repeatable codebases to integrate disparate data sources, removing manual preparation for end-users and enabling performant analytical insights and scientific research.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture: Create data architectures for data lakes and analytical platforms, specifying structures based on technical requirements.
Pipeline Engineering: Develop and maintain big data pipelines and orchestrate data flows using a progressive tech stack.
Modeling & Troubleshooting: Build logical and physical data models and troubleshoot complex data processing issues.
Strategy & Innovation: Develop strategies for data acquisition and democratization while using best practices to improve existing products and services.
Leadership: Lead specific project steps, act as a technical resource for colleagues, and potentially manage a small team of junior associates.
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Data Engineering with the ability to solve complex problems from a new perspective.
Independence: Proven ability to work with minimal guidance and manage projects from end-to-end.
Influence: Strong communication skills to influence policies and procedures outside of your immediate job area.
