Overview
A leading financial services client is looking for an experienced FIX Connectivity Analyst to support their Global Markets Electronic Trading Infrastructure team. This is a hands-on contract role focused on FIX onboarding, certification, and production support across multi-asset trading platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard institutional clients and vendors to FIX trading platforms
- Configure and certify FIX sessions across UAT and Production
- Support FIX 4.2 / 4.4 / 5.0 message flows
- Monitor and troubleshoot live FIX sessions (sequence gaps, rejects, drops)
- Work with Network and Infrastructure teams on VPNs and cross-connects
- Support migration of legacy trading systems
Required Experience
- 3–5 years in FIX Connectivity, Integration, or Trading Production Support
- Strong FIX Protocol knowledge (session & application layers)
- Linux/Unix experience with basic scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl)
- FIX and network diagnostic tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, Verfix, Aegis, Corvil)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, SSL, and firewall concepts
Ideal Contractor
- Comfortable in high-pressure trading environments
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Clear communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders
