Duration:3 months contract

Join the team responsible for designing and building the UK's largest Public Wi-Fi network and a highly resilient IoT ecosystem. We are looking for an experienced Network Designer who thrives in a DevOps culture, managing everything from initial concept to full-scale deployment.

The Role

You will maintain a mission-critical core network while designing bespoke solutions to meet evolving customer requirements. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys high-level design as much as hands-on implementation and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Build and maintain robust network solutions, including migrating legacy designs to modern, high-performance hardware.

End-to-End Lifecycle: Work closely with product teams to take developments from the conceptual phase through to live operation.

Security & Optimization: Deploy critical upgrades and fixes to ensure network security and peak resilience.

Operational Support: Collaborate with the team to monitor service availability and resolve in-life technical issues.

Deployment: Plan and execute platform changes (occasional overnight work required to support test teams).

Technical Environment

We utilize a wide range of technologies to deliver world-beating customer experiences:

Connectivity: IPSec over Mobile/Broadband and Wi-Fi Access Points.

Hardware: Hardened customer routers, switching, and routing.
