Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Interactive ICT Lessons: Plan and teach lively Computing and ICT sessions across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), ensuring pupils gain both practical digital skills and theoretical understanding.

  • Full Curriculum Duties: Manage all aspects of class preparation, assessment, and constructive marking to keep pupils progressing in line with the UK National Curriculum.

  • Support Hands-On Learning: Guide students safely through software applications, coding languages, and online safety practices in a structured environment.

  • Maintain High Standards: Create a focused classroom dynamic where equipment is respected, and pupils of all abilities feel supported to troubleshoot and learn.

  • Departmental Growth: Assist in updating learning resources, exploring new educational technologies, and supporting extra-curricular coding or tech clubs.

Candidate Profile

We are searching for an approachable technology specialist with strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (Early Career Teachers are warmly encouraged to apply).

  • Proven track record of teaching ICT or Computer Science within a UK secondary school setting.

  • Clear understanding of current technology trends, online safety, and computing curriculum standards.

  • Strong classroom management techniques that foster positive behaviour and focused learning.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
