Starting this September, the successful candidate will inspire young minds from Key Stage 3 up to Sixth Form. Key Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Enhanced DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- Deep understanding of the UK National Curriculum for IT/Computing across GCSE and A-Level frameworks.
- Eligibility to Work: Valid legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK.
- Subject Expertise: Advanced knowledge of IT systems, software applications, and foundational coding/programming concepts.
- Curriculum Design: Competence in building structured lesson plans that help build long-term student recall.
- Classroom Management: Ability to maintain a calm, focused, and purposeful learning atmosphere.
- Pastoral Care: Empathy and awareness to support student's personal development and overall well-being.
- Time Management: Exceptional organisation to balance lesson planning, grading, and administrative duties.
- Resilience & Ambition: A proactive mindset dedicated to overcoming educational challenges and pushing for excellence.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality IT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Plan and sequence an ambitious curriculum aligned with national standards and academy frameworks.
- Implement structured classroom routines, such as modelled examples and "exit tickets," to ensure robust knowledge recall.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that encourages high standards of behaviour and respect.
- Support the academy's leadership specialism by embedding character-building opportunities within IT lessons.
- Differentiate learning resources effectively to meet the diverse academic and pastoral needs of all students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent's evenings, and wider academy-wide initiatives or extracurricular clubs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and learning support teams to champion pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
- Keep up to date with technological advancements and safety guidelines to ensure a modern, secure digital learning space.
