MS SQL Server DBA - AWS Migration

My IT consultancy client is looking for an experienced SQL DBA with AWS migration experience to join their team and provide deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to support our client engagements involving database migrations, optimizations, and modernization projects.

THIS MUST INCLUDE AWS MIGRATION EXPERIENCE.

Essential SKills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
  • Proven expertise with Cloud Migration Factory (CMF)
  • Expertise in SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance
  • Strong T-SQL programming and stored procedure development skills
  • Experience with SQL Server migration tools (DMS, SSMA)
  • Knowledge of Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and replication
  • Performance tuning and query optimization expertise
  • Experience with cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server)
  • Strong understanding of database security and compliance
  • Microsoft SQL Server certifications preferred

Key Duties

  • Design, implement, and optimize MS SQL Server database solutions
  • Perform database migrations from on-premises to cloud environments
  • Conduct performance tuning and query optimization
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Ensure database security and compliance requirements are met
  • Collaborate with application teams on database design and integration
  • Provide technical guidance on SQL Server best practices
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues and performance bottlenecks

The role can be worked hybrid with 2 days a week on site in London and 2 days per week WFH. I have interview slots ready to be filled so don't delay and apply ASAP
