Program Manager
- Role: Programme Manager
- Duration: 6-Month Contract InsideIR 35
- Location: London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, Tuesday-Thursday)
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years in fleet operations, logistics, and program coordination
About the Team & Role
This role sits at the critical intersection of Engineering and Operations, bridging the gap between technical software deployment and physical fleet logistics. Unlike traditional dispatch logistics, our operations rely heavily on data-first system scaling, analytics, fleet health metrics, campaign tracking (e.g., retrofits, hardware updates), continuous improvement programs, and local regulatory alignment.
Sourcing for the London market demands a deep understanding of local transport regulations, regional fleet depot logistics, and the ability to scale operational readiness in dense, high-complexity urban infrastructure. As a Program Manager, you will drive ambiguous, cross-functional challenges, align senior stakeholders, and successfully deliver business, operational, and technical improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Ownership & Strategy: Define, drive, and own moderately complex program charters across multiple teams. Manage scope, timelines, OKRs, resourcing, and risks. Translate ambiguous goals into measurable objectives and structured project phases.
- Data & Governance: Independently collect data to govern programs and drive stakeholder decision-making. Maintain project trackers, build automated monitoring processes, and define governance structures (mitigations, postmortems, escalation reports).
- Continuous Improvement: Determine program phasing and metrics that drive resource stewardship. Optimize regular checkpoints and metrics dashboards, ensuring stakeholders are aligned on the rationale for any strategic pivots.
- Change Management: Anticipate and plan for downstream change management requirements. Develop rollout plans, conduct impact analyses, monitor progress, and resolve any cross-organizational misalignments.
- Communication & Alignment: Design and deliver optimized communication plans for executives and key partners. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to proactively enable effective decision-making and manage escalations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Successful candidates present a blend of technical fluency, hyper-organized program governance, and hands-on logistics experience.
- Industry Background: Experience in autonomous vehicle (AV) testing/ops, EV infrastructure, high-density mobility/ride-hailing, aerospace/robotics logistics, or complex micro-mobility operations.
- Technical & Analytical Aptitude: Proven ability to translate telemetry, operational metrics, fleet health data, and uptime statistics into actionable engineering requirements or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Fleet & Campaign Mastery: End-to-end experience managing hardware campaigns, vehicle updates, fleet balancing, and infrastructure readiness. Fluency in asset utilization rates, maintenance throughput, and incident resolution cycles.
- Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Comfortable interfacing between hardware/software engineers, field technicians, safety leads, and local regulatory/compliance bodies to resolve operational blockers in real-time.
Minimum Qualifications & Proficiencies
- 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, and program management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in:
- Portfolio & Program Management (PgM/TPM)
- Technical Judgment & Execution (TPM)
- Continuous Improvement & Planning
- Managing Organizational Change
- Stakeholder & Communications Management
- Team Management & Governance
- User Understanding and Empathy
