Senior Product Manager - International Product Team
Duration: 6 months Location: London (3 days onsite) We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead and deliver the pivotal Making Tax Digital proposition in response to upcoming UK legislation in April 2026. This role involves developing a best-in-class software solution for sole traders and landlords to manage their tax obligations. You will be an experienced product leader with a proven track record of driving zero-to-one product launches and transforming complex user needs into innovative, scalable solutions. Collaboration with product development, go-to-market, and design teams is essential. A key responsibility includes leading a pilot programme with early adopters, integrating user feedback, and resolving issues with product teams. Responsibilities:- Lead the development and execution of the Making Tax Digital proposition, aligning with customer needs and business strategy.
- Drive zero-to-one product innovation, launching solutions for complex compliance needs and new market opportunities.
- Engage with customers through interviews, usability testing, and pilot programs to refine the product vision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, design, go-to-market, and scrum teams.
- Manage the pilot program, testing the product with early adopters and resolving issues.
- Prioritise backlog tasks, manage day-to-day scrum activities, and balance strategic thinking with operational excellence.
- Report regularly on project milestones, customer insights, and KPIs to senior leadership.
- Utilise accounting software expertise to anticipate user needs and build workflows for financial professionals.
- Proven zero-to-one product launch experience.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience in customer interviews to shape product strategy.
- Experience implementing solutions for complex use cases (e.g., accounting, compliance, financial software).
- Expertise in delivering transformative mobile app experiences.
- Background in accounting software or financial technology is highly preferred.
- Skilled in cross-team collaboration across product, design, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
- Experience leading pilot programs or managing early-adopter testing.
- Ability to prioritise, adapt, and balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic thinking.
- Strong reporting skills to keep leadership informed of milestones, risks, and solutions.
- Comfort navigating technical complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities with a bias for action.
