Job title: Solution Architect

Rate: £700-£750 umbrella

Duration: 6 months

We are seeking a high performing Solution Architect with the ability to create both high-level and low-level solution design documents and communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience as a key member of the design team. The person appointed will be responsible for architecting and designing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality solutions for various platforms.
• Create and maintain design documents throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead the analysis of technology and operational processes to recommend infrastructure designs that improve service and reduce costs.
• Work with a diverse range of internal colleagues, management, and third-party vendors.
• Provide technical assurance for solutions to ensure they conform to enterprise architecture principles and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficient in Azure and be able to create design artifacts for all cloud workloads, infrastructure, and software. Relevant training and certifications in Azure Solution Architect are essential.
• Experience with on-prem architecture and be able to propose changes to existing standards and strategies.
• Experience with IaC, particularly Terraform, is required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. You must be able to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• A foundational understanding of DevOps practices and technologies is necessary.
• Demonstrable, expert experience in designing and implementing solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is ideal but not mandatory.
