Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager (Level 3)

Placement Length: 3 Months

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

  • Lead large-scale or complex projects within the Change and Capital Programme to deliver successful outcomes on time and within budget.

  • Support the Head of Digital Services and Service Delivery Manager to deliver program priorities and achieve identified financial savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of project proposals, ensuring clear objectives, scope, and Project Initiation Documents are established.

  • Create comprehensive project plans, monitor progress against milestones, and determine RAG statuses.

  • Identify and manage project risks and issues by maintaining an updated RAID log and escalating complex issues as needed.

  • Coordinate the daily activities of project team members, stakeholders, and contributors to ensure work packages are completed on schedule.

  • Lead project board meetings, working groups, and workshops to persuade stakeholders, assess progress, and drive project delivery.

  • Drive performance improvement and service re-design by analyzing capacity data and implementing new ways of working across the organization.

  • Manage delegated project budgets to deliver on financial initiatives and cost improvement plans.

  • Perform benefits analysis, establish benefits realization plans, and ensure proper legacy ownership of systems post-implementation.

  • Design and deliver training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff to support the rollout of new technology and processes.

  • Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues to support their professional development in project management methodologies.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) and an APM qualification (or equivalent project management qualification).

  • Proven experience in managing complex or sensitive projects and applying project management methodologies.

  • Experience working within a large complex organization, social care sector, or similar provider.

  • Practical experience in change management, service redesign, and delivering significant change projects.

  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.

Essential Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of data protection and Information Governance principles.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and compare complex information to solve problems and assess risks.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills to overcome resistance to change and motivate staff in a challenging environment.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage constraints flexibly.
