Solutions Architect – Global Supply Chain Transformation

Duration: 6 months initial (+ extensions with project scope)

Location: Remote (UK and mainland Europe candidates considered)

Rate: Circa £700 per day (inside IR35)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join a high-profile, multi-year global digital transformation. As the strategic bridge between the New York-based global team and local operational initiatives, you will drive hands-on solution design across end-to-end supply chain planning systems.

This role requires a technical authority who can align international stakeholders on transformation standards, govern off-shore delivery teams, and design robust architectures for physical product movement across demand planning, supply planning, and master production scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Hands-On Design: Lead the solution design for modern supply chain planning platforms, creating scalable target architectures and integration patterns.
  • Global Alignment & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical bridge to the New York global architectural team, aligning local deployment projects with overall enterprise transformation goals.
  • Delivery Governance: Oversee and support off-shore engineering and implementation teams to ensure technical designs are built to specification and enterprise standards.
  • Domain Leadership: Translate business requirements across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) into seamless technology solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Industry Experience: Extensive background in CPG / FMCG or industries involving complex, high-volume physical product distribution.
  • Supply Chain Tech Stack: Hands-on architectural experience
  • Planning & Optimization: o9 Solutions, SAP APO, or similar advanced planning systems.
  • Enterprise Core: SAP ECC / S/4HANA.
  • Data & Analytics: Databricks (data pipelines, analytics, integration patterns).
  • Process Mastery: Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning operations (Demand, Supply, Master Production Planning).
  • Delivery Capabilities: Proven track record in large-scale technical transformations and managing offshore delivery models.
