Rapid Recruit are currently looking for a Quality Engineer/Technician on behalf of our client in Burnley. The successful candidate will provide quality assurance services to production departments to best represent the interest of customers. You will liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day running of QA Department involving the allocation of daily duties to subordinates in line with production/delivery requirements.
• Support and maintain QA activities within the department and production areas.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure the Quality Systems and procedures are adequate and properly maintained to assure ongoing quality standards.
• Actively promote a continuous improvement ethos and product awareness.
• Participate in and support Advanced Quality Planning activities.
• Ensure the corrective action system is maintained.
• Ensure the calibration system is maintained.
• The ongoing development of QA techniques in all departments.
• To provide the necessary data and statistics from which action plans to decrease the cost of quality can be formulated.
• To monitor the effectiveness/performance of QA staff and of QA systems within the company.

Requirements:

• Previous QA experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of quality standards.
