We're partnering with a leading PropTech business that is helping Housing Associations, Local Authorities, and social housing providers modernise the way they manage inspections, compliance, operations, and resident services.

With a proven platform already trusted across the sector and growing demand driven by increasing compliance requirements and operational pressures, they're now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within the Public Sector Housing market.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-potential territory, build relationships with senior decision-makers, and play a key role in expanding the company's presence across one of the UK's most important property sectors.

The Opportunity

Social housing providers face increasing challenges around compliance, resident engagement, repairs, asset management, and operational efficiency. This business delivers technology that helps organisations overcome those challenges while improving outcomes for residents.

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and managing the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract completion.

You'll have the autonomy to build your own pipeline, influence go-to-market activity, and work closely with senior leadership to shape growth strategy within the sector.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and win new business opportunities across Housing Associations, Local Authorities, and public sector housing providers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and close
  • Engage senior stakeholders including Housing Directors, Asset Management teams, Compliance Managers, and Operations leaders
  • Deliver consultative, value-led sales conversations that address key sector challenges
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to support growth initiatives
  • Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and sector insight to help shape future strategy
  • Develop relationships across procurement frameworks and public sector buying channels
  • Attend housing sector events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking opportunities across the UK
  • Represent the business as a trusted and knowledgeable industry partner

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Account Executive role
  • Experience selling into Housing Associations, Local Authorities, or the wider public sector housing market
  • Background in SaaS, PropTech, compliance technology, housing management systems, or related software solutions
  • Strong understanding of the UK social housing landscape and procurement processes
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable managing your own pipeline
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and exhibitions
