Head of Culture
As Head of People and Culture, you will lead a small, high-performing team responsible for bringing the People strategy to life and strengthening the organisation’s reputation as a great place to work.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will provide expert guidance and coaching to accelerate team growth and capability. You will also act as a key escalation point while supporting and developing the Talent Lead and People Experience Co-ordinator to ensure consistently high standards across the function.
This role requires both strong HR expertise and a proactive, opportunity-led mindset — someone who can build a scalable, effective People operating model while driving meaningful impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
- Own and deliver core People foundations, positioning the function as proactive and commercially impactful
- Elevate People operations to improve manager capability, hiring quality, and overall performance
- Partner with Marketing to shape and strengthen the employer brand
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing coaching, insights, and clear recommendations
Employee Experience & Culture
- Enhance employee listening strategies, embedding effective feedback loops and recognition initiatives
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from talent planning and onboarding through to development and offboarding
- Embed company values into day-to-day operations and key employee moments
- Drive initiatives that improve engagement and internal communication
Performance Enablement
- Implement a future-focused skills framework and clear career progression pathways
- Establish and maintain a structured performance framework that supports continuous development
- Build manager capability through targeted training and accessible learning resources
People Operations
- Explore and implement AI solutions to improve efficiency and employee experience
- Optimise People systems and processes, driving automation where appropriate
- Oversee all core People operations, ensuring compliance and alignment with employment law
Talent Attraction
- Lead the Talent team to deliver structured, candidate-focused hiring processes
- Shape hiring plans aligned with business growth
- Own and enhance the onboarding experience, ensuring a high-quality and supportive journey for all new joiners
About You
- Proven experience leading People functions within a fast-growing technology business
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
- Highly organised with the ability to balance operational delivery and strategic execution
- Commercially minded, understanding the link between People strategy and business growth
- Experienced in building scalable, practical solutions
- A confident coach and trusted partner to senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of People operations within scaling organisations
- Collaborative, low-ego approach with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Data-driven with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Adaptable and comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments

- eNPS improving quarter-on-quarter
- Key milestones across the People plan consistently achieved
- Pulse survey response rates exceeding 80%
- 100% of managers completing development programmes with positive feedback
- Clear People and Culture metrics established and actively informing business decisions
