Work as a Senior Test Engineer within a team, ensuring the quality of software in our many business areas.

\n

This opportunity will be an office-based role at one of our sites in the Gloucester or Manchester area. All candidates must already hold eDV to be eligible.

Skills and Experience

\n

\n
• \nExperience of working in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps delivery model \n

\n

• \nExperience of test automation frameworks and tools. \n

\n

• \nExperience of scripting languages and scripting for automation. \n

\n

• \nExperience producing test plans and reports using applicable tools \n

\n\n

\n
• \nUnderstanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and demonstrable evidence of relevant test methodologies and toolsets \n

\n\n

Desirable

• \nAWS and/or Azure \n

\n\n

\n
• \nContinuous Integration \n

\n

• \nExperience of deploying and configuring complex software under Linux/Windows \n

\n\n

\n
• \nAbility to review and apply different tools and techniques e.g. monitoring, logging, performance testing \n

\n\n

Responsibilities

• \nApply test skills and experience within the context of an Agile software delivery team \n

\n\n

\n
• \nResponsible for the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks \n

\n\n

\n
• \nDefine and manage test environments; create and manage test data; define and manage test tools \n

\n\n

\n
• \nSupport estimation of test activities \n

\n\n

\n
• \nSupport test team interactions with the wider development team and assist in the resolution of issues \n

\n\n

\n
• \nContribute to the production of test documents using appropriate tools as required \n

\n\n

\n
• \nRaise defects and support the wider development team in their resolution \n

\n\n

\n
• \nManage creation of automated and manual test scripts \n

\n\n

\n
• \nProduce test and deployment strategies and plans in compliance with customer project guidelines \n

\n\n

\n
• \nSupport test team interactions with the wider development team and assist in the resolution of issues\n
