Account Executive (New Business/Hunter role) – B2B SaaS

Salary: Up to £60,000 base + uncapped commission

Overview
I’m recruiting on behalf of a high growth B2B SaaS business that helps revenue teams generate pipeline and win more business through a combination of phone verified data and an outbound sales enablement platform.
They’re looking for a new business hunter who is happy to be on the phones, can run strong discovery and is capable of managing the full sales cycle end to end.
What they sell
A credit based subscription/MRR proposition focused on data, lead generation and sales enablement.
Typical commercial structure includes:
- PoC around £12k for 2 months
- 4–12 month sign-ups following a successful PoC
- Current average sales cycle is circa 38 days
The role
This is a true full sales cycle AE position, including:
- Owning net new business acquisition and building a predictable outbound pipeline
- High volume of outbound acrtivity and booking your own meetings
- Running structured discovery and qualification (SPIN / BANT / MEDDIC — framework is flexible)
- Managing deals from discovery through PoC, negotiation and close
- Maintaining strong CRM discipline, pipeline reporting and forecasting
Ramp: circa 3 months, initially without SDR support.
KPIs (once ramped)
- Target of 3-5 deals per month (PoCs closed)
- 80 outbound activities per day
- Running discovery calls for meetings you book
Target customers
The client sells across a range of B2B verticals, including:
- Digital transformation and IT/MSPs
- Cyber security
- Fintech, proptech, medtech
- AI/SaaS businesses
- Sales enablement and outsourced SDR/BDR providers
What they’re looking for
- Proven track record in new business/hunter sales (software/SaaS strongly preferred)
- Comfortable being phone first and self generating pipeline
- Strong discovery and qualification skills with commercial judgement
