Senior Process Development Engineer (Chemical Analysis & PSD)

Job Description: Senior Process Development Engineer - Medical Device Development

Purpose: To provide support in the creation and development of new medical device products, both invasive and non-invasive, with a focus on additive manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to seamlessly integrate new products, equipment, or processes into production.

Responsibilities:

Essenital Skills:

• Experience in Chemical Analysis and Particle Size Distribution relating to Additive Manufacturing processes
• Research, develop, design, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes, and equipment
• Develop new concepts from initial design through to market release
• Technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/ or automation.
• Assist the Process Development group in designing new equipment for new products and manufacturing.
• Work closely with machine vendors to ensure equipment is designed, built, and tested according to specifications, and properly handed over to manufacturing
• Equipment validation experience (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and application of Lean methodologies and process improvement tools to identify and eliminate waste and develop efficient, cost-effective equipment and processes.

  Desireable:

  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing and/ or 3D printing is beneficial
  • Knowledge of CNC code or CAD/ CAM is beneficial
  • Experience with Laser Systems and Laser materials processing (e.g., welding, marking, cutting) is an advantage

    Qualifications/ Experience:

    • Level 8 Engineering degree qualification
    • 5+ years of engineering experience in a GMP environment
