Location: Rochdale, Manchester (Onsite)

Rate: Open & Negotiable (Outside IR35)

Working Hours: Saturday-Monday, 06:00-18:00 + On-Call 18:00-23:00 (Sat & Sun)

Are you an experienced IT Support or Operations Specialist looking for a new contract opportunity?

We're supporting one of our clients in the manufacturing sector with the recruitment of an on-site IT Support / IT Operations Specialist to join their new production facility in Rochdale.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to production, combining hands-on IT support with factory systems such as MES, WMS, ERP, and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT support across both production and office environments
• Support and troubleshoot MES, WMS (WAMAS, Lighthouse), and ERP systems
• Monitor and maintain factory IT infrastructure and networks (Cisco wired & Wi-Fi)
• Perform SQL-based troubleshooting and assist with system integrations
• Document incidents, resolutions, and updates using the ITSM system
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and automation specialists

Ideal Profile

• Proven experience in IT Support or IT Operations, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, SQL, and networking (Cisco)
• Hands-on experience with MES/WMS/ERP systems is highly desirable
• Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a production setting
