Data Governance Lead
If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely influence how an organisation values and uses data, this is it.
I am looking for a Data Governance Lead to join a Yorkshire based Housing Association with opportunity to actually make data governance real.
You’ll be joining at a point where the hard groundwork has already been done. The frameworks exist. The policies are there. The tooling is in place. But like many organisations, the challenge now is turning that into something people truly understand, adopt, and see value from day to day.
This role gives you real ownership. You’ll sit as one of the most senior data governance voices in the business, with the opportunity to build out a team of data stewards and shape how governance is embedded across the organisation. You’ll be out across the business, working directly with stakeholders, including senior leadership, influencing how they think about data and helping them take responsibility for it.
A big part of your impact will be in changing behaviours and mindsets. You’ll be helping teams understand what data governance is and it’s benefits when good. If you enjoy getting stuck into real conversations, challenging thinking, and bringing people on a journey, this is a role where you’ll genuinely see that impact.
You’ll be working as part of a senior and growing data function, reporting into the Head of Data, with close links into Data Protection, risk, and wider business teams. There’s a huge amount of work to get stuck into, but also a genuine opportunity to shape how data is used and valued across the organisation over the long term.
They are looking for someone who has successfully embedded data governance. Someone who can point to the challenges they’ve faced, how they’ve brought stakeholders with them, and the outcomes they’ve delivered.
The salary on offer is £52,000 with a great benefits package.
The role is hybrid with 1 day a week onsite in West Yorkshire. This is essential for the role to ensure you are building relationships and networking with the business/stakeholders to embed the governance.
If you’re someone who enjoys influencing at a senior level, building a culture around data, and seeing the real impact of your work across an organisation please get in touch.
