Enterprise Architect
Shape the architecture behind a meaningful transformation as Enterprise Architect.
This is a genuinely impactful Enterprise Architect role, not one where you inherit a finished blueprint, but one where you help to design and bring a clear vision to life at this Housing Association in the Northeast.
The organisation already has a strong sense of where it wants to get to: modern platforms, better connected systems, and a more joined-up experience for customers and colleagues. What they need now is the right person to take that vision and turn it into something real, structured, and deliverable.
This is about joining at the point where architecture becomes critical.
As Enterprise Architect, you’ll sit at the centre of a major transformation programme, shaping and guiding the target architecture across applications, systems, and data. It’s a classic Enterprise Architect role but with a strong delivery edge.
You will:
- Translate a defined technology vision into a clear, achievable target architecture
- Guide decision-making around platforms, integrations, and system design
- Provide architectural oversight across delivery teams to ensure solutions fit together
- Connect business processes, data, and technology across a complex environment
- Support a shift away from legacy systems towards modern platforms (including Salesforce and cloud)
- Play a key role in shaping how data flows across systems (with emerging use of Microsoft Fabric)
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with the wider Target Operating Model.
This is not a hands-on build role. It’s about technical assurance, direction, and influence.
You’ll be working as part of a broader transformation programme aligned to TOM workstreams, with active delivery already underway in areas like data and platforms.
There’s momentum but also complexity.
- Cloud journey underway
- New customer platforms and portals being introduced
- Data strategy evolving, with integration and governance becoming key
- Agile ways of working being embedded
Architecture will be the thread that connects it all.
As Enterprise Architect, you’ll be able to make an immediate impact, you may not have held the Enterprise Architect title for years, but you will have the credibility and experience to operate at that level.
You would be an excellent fit as Enterprise Architect if you have:
- Experience delivering or shaping enterprise or target architecture within transformation programmes
- A background in solution architecture, with a broader, enterprise mindset
- Exposure to customer platforms, digital transformation, or major systems change
- Strong understanding of how applications, data, and integrations come together in practice
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly at board level
- Confidence to challenge decisions and bring commercial awareness to architecture choices
- Experience working in or alongside Agile delivery environments
- A background in engineering or software development earlier in your career would be valuable as this role needs someone grounded in real delivery, not just theory.
This is a true Enterprise Architect role owning architecture in an exciting period of transformation and modernisation. There’s a clear vision in place, but you will shape how it’s delivered. It’s a highly visible role working across senior stakeholders, including board-level conversations.
If you’re someone who enjoys joining the dots, influencing direction, and making architecture real, this will be a great role for you.
This is a role based in the Northeast with one day a week in the office.
The salary on offer is £85,000 to £95,000 with some great benefits.
