Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Tech Consultancy

Our client is a fast-growing technology consultancy that helps ambitious organisations

solve complex engineering, data, platform and digital product challenges. They work across

industries such as private equity, alternative investments, maritime, insurance and financial

services, supporting clients as they modernise, innovate and accelerate the delivery of their

most important or difficult technology initiatives.

This role sits within their commercial growth team and plays an important role

in shaping and opening new opportunities. It is a consultative position that blends relationship

building, market research, commercial insight and value led engagement, providing a strong

foundation for anyone looking to build a long-term career in partnerships, sales or consulting

within the tech sector.

About the Role

As a new hire, you’ll play a key supporting role in helping our client build

meaningful relationships with prospects, partners, and clients. This is an ideal entry point for a

bright, motivated graduate or early-career professional who wants to build a career in business

development, partnerships, or consulting within the tech and data space.

You’ll work closely with their Growth Consultants and Partnership Lead to support pipeline

development, manage outreach, prepare materials, and help move opportunities forward. Over

time, you’ll take more ownership of relationship-building and begin to manage your own

portfolio of accounts, creating a strong pathway into a future Growth Consultant position and

then onto a Client Partner.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline & Research

• Research target companies, decision-makers, and industry trends relevant to Software,

Product, Data, AI, and technology consulting.

• Identify new partnership and lead opportunities.

• Maintain accurate data in their CRM and support weekly pipeline reporting.

Outreach & Engagement

• Support outbound outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, events) to book meetings for

senior team members.

• Craft tailored outreach messages and value propositions.

• Manage early-stage prospect interactions and qualify inbound leads.

Sales & Partnership Support

• Prepare meeting notes, proposals, and capability decks with clear articulation of

your services.

• Support Growth Consultants & Client Partners in shaping opportunity structures,

preparing scoping materials, or coordinating follow-ups.

• Assist in coordination between internal delivery leads and external clients.

Marketing & Content Support

• Collaborate with marketing to share relevant insights from the market.

• Help with LinkedIn research, content ideas, and partner activation campaigns.

Operational & Admin Support

• Keep the CRM accurate and clean.

• Coordinate meeting scheduling, follow-ups, and documentation.

• Support Partnership Lead with weekly and monthly reporting.

Skills & Attributes:

• Smart, ambitious, and eager to learn, with some interest in tech, be it AI, digital,

consulting, or business growth.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• A proactive mindset: comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, and trying new

things.

• Confident working with people, building rapport, and learning how to sell professionally.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6-12 months, a successful new hire will:

• Be able to take in a lot of information quickly

• Demonstrate consistent, high-quality outreach and lead generation.

• Build confidence in early-stage prospect conversations.

• Understand and confidently talk through services, value proposition, and client

problems.

• Support the sales team in converting opportunities into meetings and proposals.

• Develop enough commercial and relationship-management capability to step into the

Growth Consultant role.
