Salary: £49,000 - £52,250 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Server & Storage Specialist to join a growing infrastructure team responsible for supporting and developing enterprise server, storage and cloud environments.
This role will play a key part in maintaining a resilient, secure and high-performing infrastructure, supporting both day-to-day operations and ongoing technology improvements.
Key Requirements

• Extensive experience administering and supporting server technologies, both physical and virtual
• Strong Windows Server administration skills
• Linux server administration experience
• Experience with physical, virtual and cloud-based storage technologies
• Knowledge of backup technologies and disaster recovery practices
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools
• Understanding of server security, patching and anti-malware solutions
• Ability to work across both operational support and infrastructure improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and provision both physical and virtual server infrastructure
• Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments
• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability using appropriate management tools
• Maintain server security, patch management and anti-malware solutions
• Contribute to infrastructure strategy, planning and continuous improvement initiatives

Desirable Experience

• VMware vSphere/vCenter environments
• Enterprise storage and SAN technologies
• Backup and recovery platforms
• ITIL-based service management environments
• Data centre infrastructure support
• Infrastructure project delivery and implementation

This opportunity would suit a strong 3rd Line Engineer, Senior Infrastructure Engineer or Infrastructure Specialist with excellent Windows Server and VMware experience, alongside exposure to modern cloud technologies. Candidates should be comfortable supporting and developing enterprise infrastructure environments while contributing to infrastructure strategy, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
