Engagement Manager
We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to support and coordinate a portfolio of P&C Site Projects, reporting directly to the Programme Manager. This is a fully onsite contract role based in Cumbria, requiring a strong delivery background, excellent stakeholder engagement capability, and a solid grasp of project critical path management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project coordination across multiple workstreams, producing internal reporting, and maintaining clear communication with client stakeholders. You will need to be confident managing risks, dependencies, forecasting, and escalation points, while ensuring delivery remains on track.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to have Active MOD Security Clearance to be considered for this role.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Provide regular internal updates and detailed reporting to the Portfolio Lead
- Create, issue, and monitor project forecasts
- Track progress and identify risks, issues, and delivery concerns
- Build and maintain effective relationships with client stakeholders
- Deliver clear and concise client reporting and status updates
- Manage the critical path across projects and assess the impact of any delays
- Develop mitigation plans to address risks to timelines and delivery
Required experience
- Proven experience as an Engagement Manager or in a similar project or programme delivery role
- Strong leadership and coordination skills across multiple projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of critical path, dependencies, and impact analysis
- Experience producing project reporting, forecasting, and delivery updates
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capability
- Proficiency with project management tools and reporting software
