Java Support Engineer

Job Title: Java Support Engineer (L3 Support)
Location: London
Engagement: Inside IR35
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
SFIA Level: 4

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience supporting Java applications in a production environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across applications and infrastructure
• Java, JavaScript, APIs, and Microservices
• AWS cloud platform
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment support
• Python, Shell, or PowerShell Scripting

Desirable Skills:

• Docker & Kubernetes
• Terraform or CloudFormation
• Automated testing and performance analysis
• DevOps and release automation

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve P1-P3 production incidents within SLA
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
• Support releases, deployments, and change activities
• Maintain and support non-production environments
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and service reliability
• Produce technical documentation and mentor junior engineers
• Drive automation and Shift Left initiatives
