We’re partnering with a leading global streaming and entertainment business to hire a Content Merchandising Specialist to support dual-market merchandising execution across the U.S. and UK streaming platforms.
This role plays a key part in strengthening executional capacity across both markets, supporting platform transition priorities, and ensuring a consistently high-quality merchandising experience for subscribers.
🎯 The Role
The Content Merchandising Specialist will primarily support U.S. in-app merchandising execution while also maintaining business-as-usual operational continuity across the UK platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive engagement, improve content discovery, optimise viewership performance, and support major content campaigns across streaming surfaces.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
U.S. Market Ownership (Primary Focus)
• Own day-to-day execution of the U.S. merchandising strategy across the streaming platform
• Manage promotional placements across Homepage Hero, Featured Rails, and Genre Page Heroes
• Support the merchandising of medaled titles and elevate high-performing library content
• Partner with Programming, Product, Marketing, Operations, and U.S. Network teams to support launches, campaigns, and tentpole moments
• Apply performance data, audience insights, and testing learnings to continuously optimise merchandising decisions
• Maintain editorial quality and consistency across major lifestyle, factual, and entertainment franchises
• Coordinate with wider merchandising teams to align execution for shared tentpole events and campaigns
UK Market Support (BAU & Operational Continuity)
• Execute business-as-usual merchandising across key UK platform surfaces
• Support operational stability during a major platform transition period
• Maintain reliable merchandising execution to enable broader teams to focus on wider transformation initiatives
• Track, analyse, and report on content performance to improve engagement and discovery outcomes
• Collaborate with UK stakeholders on market priorities, campaign execution, and planning
• Support merchandising calendars and market-level planning processes
• Assist in managing platform video channel merchandising presence
🛠 Platform Video Channels Ownership
• Support backend operations for platform video channels, including builds, updates, QA, and troubleshooting
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across workflows and merchandising systems
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve operational and platform issues
• Help ensure continuity of merchandising operations during organisational and platform changes
✅ Experience Required
• 4–6+ years’ experience within content merchandising, streaming, digital media, or related industries
• Hands-on experience executing in-app merchandising or content curation across streaming or digital platforms
• Strong understanding of data-led decision making, audience behaviour, and performance analysis
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Programming, and Operations teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex stakeholder environments and multiple markets
• Familiarity with CMS tools, merchandising systems, and streaming platform workflows
• Experience supporting Platform Video Channels or similar environments is highly desirable
• Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume execution environments
