Collibra Integration Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Collibra Integration Engineer (AVP level) to join a large, enterprise-scale environment in London. This is an IT-focused engineering role responsible for the operational stability, integration and technical configuration of the Collibra platform across EMEA.

This is not a data governance policy role. The successful candidate will sit on the IT side, ensuring the platform is stable, integrated correctly, and operating effectively across multiple environments.

Role Overview

You will take ownership of the technical administration and integration of Collibra, ensuring reliable metadata ingestion, lineage automation and platform health. The role requires close collaboration with Application teams, ETL teams, DBAs and infrastructure teams to ensure integrations are robust, scalable and properly documented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the Collibra platform from an engineering perspective, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance management

  • Configure and manage integrations using DIP/CDQ, EDGE and Lineage Harvester

  • Ensure consistent ingestion of metadata, schemas and lineage from multiple enterprise systems

  • Validate connectivity and prerequisites with DBAs, ETL and infrastructure teams (drivers, credentials, network requirements)

  • Investigate and resolve incidents relating to integrations, lineage ingestion and platform availability

  • Maintain consistency across DEV, QA and PROD environments

  • Produce clear documentation, runbooks and operational updates

  • Support access control and audit-readiness requirements

  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience in an IT engineering, platform administration or integration engineering role

  • Strong understanding of enterprise platform operations (configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting)

  • Working knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server and the ability to use SQL for validation and connectivity testing

  • Experience working with infrastructure teams including DBAs and network teams

  • Experience supporting enterprise systems through incident management and root-cause analysis

  • Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical teams

  • Comfortable producing technical documentation and operational reporting

Desirable

  • Experience operating Collibra or a similar metadata/governance platform

  • Exposure to DIP/CDQ, EDGE or Lineage Harvester

  • Understanding of REST APIs and JSON

  • Exposure to Python or other Scripting languages

  • Experience within data integration or ETL environments

This is a 6-month contract paying £415 per day, inside IR35, with payment via an umbrella company. The role requires 3 days per week onsite in London.
