Location: London - 3 days per week in the office

Contract: 6 months initially, with the potential to roll for up to 2 years
Language: Japanese speaking is essential

We are currently recruiting for a Japanese Speaking PowerPoint & Content Publisher to join a technology-focused development environment in London.

This is a hybrid role combining graphic design, technical content, PowerPoint presentation design and content management. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with technical teams and will have the ability to take complex technology concepts and turn them into clear, engaging and visually compelling content.

Importantly, this is not purely a graphic design position. You will be working closely with development and technology teams, so a good understanding of IT concepts, technical architecture and how different technology components fit together is highly desirable.

The Role

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a wide range of visual and technical content, including presentations, technical documentation, system diagrams, process flows, graphics and videos.

You will work with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to understand complex concepts and develop your own ideas around how information can be structured and presented effectively.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations and presentation templates.
  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear and engaging visual content.
  • Creating architecture diagrams, system diagrams, process flows and other technical visualisations.
  • Developing graphics, infographics and other visual communication materials.
  • Creating and maintaining Word and PowerPoint templates.
  • Producing and editing videos and other multimedia content.
  • Writing and editing technical documentation, including user manuals, reference guides and release notes.
  • Reviewing and improving existing documentation and presentation materials.
  • Using tools such as Visio to create technical diagrams and visual representations.
  • Organising and maintaining technical and non-technical content, ensuring appropriate version control and accessibility.
  • Ensuring content follows appropriate standards, branding and governance requirements.
  • Working with development and technology teams to ensure visual and written content accurately reflects technical requirements.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for requests relating to development team content, including documents, presentations, graphics and videos.

What we're looking for

We are particularly interested in candidates who combine strong visual/design skills with an understanding of technology.

You should have:

  • Professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, content publishing or a similar discipline.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and experience creating professional presentations and templates.
  • Experience creating technical diagrams, architecture diagrams, process flows or similar visualisations.
  • An understanding of IT and technology concepts, ideally gained through working with development, engineering or technology teams.
  • Experience working with technical documentation and translating complex information into accessible content.
  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Visio, SharePoint and/or Confluence.
  • Experience with video editing software such as Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro would be beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Japanese language skills are essential for this position.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale technology environment where your work will directly support the way complex technology concepts are communicated to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will sit comfortably between design and technology. You don't need to be a developer, but you do need to be technically minded and able to understand how technology components connect and how that information should be represented visually.

If you are a designer or content specialist who has worked closely with development teams, has an understanding of UI/UX and technology, and enjoys turning complex technical information into compelling visual content, we'd be keen to hear from you.
