Technical Project Manager

We are hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager to take ownership of delivery across a portfolio of complex, data-driven technical projects.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can evidence that they are currently operating at this level, managing multiple technical projects and leading technical people. You will run delivery with minimal oversight, ensuring projects are well planned, well executed, and delivered to a consistently high standard.

This role is Bristol-based, with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days per week. We believe regular face-to-face collaboration is essential for keeping complex technical projects running smoothly.

There is clear scope for progression, including performance-based salary review from 6 months after joining. We are particularly interested in candidates who are ready to take on more responsibility than their current role allows.

Salary

£50,000 – £60,000, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities Delivery & Project Leadership
  • Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent technical projects
  • Scope, plan, prioritise, and schedule work across the technical team
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a consistently high quality
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and resourcing constraints early
  • Run regular planning, progress, and delivery cadence meetings
Team Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate a technical team of approximately five specialists
  • Set clear priorities, expectations, and delivery standards
  • Keep projects moving smoothly through strong day-to-day leadership
  • Reduce the need for senior escalation through effective ownership
Technical & Quality Oversight
  • Remain technically credible and hands-on where required
  • Review technical analysis, models, and assumptions
  • Own quality control of technical and client-facing outputs
  • Improve delivery standards, templates, and workflows over time
Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Act as a primary delivery contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate progress clearly and professionally
  • Manage expectations and respond confidently to delivery and technical queries
