Product Manager - GOV/GDS / SC Clearance

Location: Various Locations: Newcastle and/ or Leeds

Contract: Inside IR35

Duration: 3-6-Month Initial

Day Rate: £450 per day Inside IR35

About the Role

We are seeking a number of experienced Product Manager's with a strong background in Government Digital Service (GDS) standards to support a critical programme within the public sector. Candidates must also have live and active SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of government digital products, from discovery and requirements gathering to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including policy, engineering, UX, procurement, and legal to align product goals with agency objectives.
• Define and prioritize product roadmaps that balance user needs, policy goals, and compliance requirements.
• Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating clear timelines, progress updates, and outcome metrics.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure services are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with government digital standards.
• Develop data-driven strategies to measure product performance and inform decision-making.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure adherence to federal, state, and agency-specific regulations.
• Oversee vendor relationships and contract deliverables related to product development and implementation.
• Advocate for agile methodologies and continuous improvement across government product teams.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical use of data in product design and delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven GOV/GDS project experience (must-have).

Holding live and active SC Clearance

Must be able to work inside IR35 at the rate £450 p/d
