Salary: £60k + Expenses

Location: York, Hybrid (once a week onsite)

About the role:

We're currently recruiting an experienced AWS Engineer, working in the talented cloud services team for a leading MSP in York. You’ll be working alongside a team of experienced AWS Engineers to deliver, support, and evolve client platforms.

This is a hybrid position, with candidates expected to be within a commutable distance of York. All applicants must also be eligible for security clearance, having lived in the UK for at least 5 years.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver, operate, and secure AWS platforms with high reliability and efficiency.
• Engage directly with clients to understand, manage, migrate, and evolve their AWS environments.
• Own the delivery and support of production and non-production systems across the AWS ecosystem.
• Support or contribute to implementation teams on AWS migration projects and managed service onboarding.
• Provide technical guidance to clients during AWS migrations and Managed Service opportunities.
• Maintain service continuity by supporting customer infrastructure and resolving issues promptly.

Key requirements:

• A strong background in cloud engineering within enterprise-scale environments (MSP experience is desirable).
• Hands-on experience with AWS landing zones and modern cloud architecture practices.
• High proficiency in scripting & IaC tooling, particularly with Python & Terraform (and CloudFormation where required).
• Direct client-facing experience, with the ability to build trusted relationships and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• The ability to translate complex technical topics into business-friendly language and present effectively in both technical and commercial contexts.
• Eligible for SC security clearance.
