We’re working with an established, technology-driven business looking to hire an IT Security Manager into a newly created role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond BAU and play a key role in strengthening and evolving a company’s security posture.
🚀 The Opportunity
You’ll be the go-to person for all things IT security - driving strategy, improving controls, and ensuring the organisation is protected against an ever-evolving threat landscape.
This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing security across the entire business.
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing the organisation’s IT security strategy
- Implementing and managing security controls, processes, and tools
- Owning and enhancing the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Managing incident response and coordinating investigations
- Driving vulnerability management (patching, remediation, assessments)
- Overseeing third-party risk management
- Reporting on risks and incidents to senior leadership
- Embedding a security-first culture across the business
- Ensuring systems are secure by design
🧠 What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an IT Security / InfoSec role
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Experience building or implementing security strategies and policies
- Hands-on experience with tools such as:
- Fortinet
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Entra / Conditional Access
- A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to own and drive initiatives
🎓 Nice to Have
- Degree in Computer Science (or similar)
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Security certifications
📍 Location & Flexibility
- Bristol-based (hybrid)
- Just 1 day per month in the office (plus occasional client visits)
