A market-leading organisation is recruiting two Senior Integration Engineers to play a critical role in delivering robust, scalable integration solutions across complex live environments. This role offers the opportunity to act as a technical subject matter expert, influencing integration design, supporting customers, and shaping solutions that enable digital transformation at scale.

The ideal candidates will bring deep, hands-on integration experience, thrive in complex and ambiguous environments, and be comfortable acting as trusted technical authorities for both internal teams and external stakeholders. They will combine strong technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and collaboration, contributing to high-quality outcomes across the full lifecycle of integration services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical SME leadership across integration services, supporting both internal teams and customers
  • Design, develop, and deliver integration solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements
  • Lead investigations, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues within live, customer-facing environments
  • Set and maintain high technical quality standards, including code review, documentation, and governance
  • Contribute to presales activity, including solution shaping, technical input, and effort estimation
  • Own and improve documentation of customer integration solutions and internal standards
  • Support and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and technical development
  • Engage directly with customers as a trusted technical representative when required

Skills & Experience (Essential)

  • Proven experience designing, developing, and delivering integration solutions using HL7 v2 messaging within complex, live environments
  • Strong, hands-on experience with the Mirth integration engine (or equivalent scripting-based integration platforms) including message transformation, routing, and error handling
  • Experience working in customer-facing integration roles, acting as a trusted technical SME
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, data mapping, and interface design
  • Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in live, business-critical systems
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience working with Linux-based environments
  • Awareness of Agile delivery approaches and DevOps principles

Desirable

  • Experience working with additional healthcare standards or technologies (e.g. FHIR, DICOM, messaging brokers)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and version-controlled integration assets
  • Experience contributing to integration architecture or technical design decisions
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and modern integration approaches
  • Experience supporting or leading technical change or improvement initiatives
