About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and proact ive Lead Programme Management Office (PMO) Analyst to help establish and develop a growing PMO function within a technology-led organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of PMO maturity, governance, reporting, and delivery standards across a portfolio of strategic change initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and delivery teams, you'll play a key role in shaping how projects and programmes are governed, reported, and successfully delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the PMO function
- Develop and implement PMO processes, governance frameworks, standards, templates and delivery tool kits.
- Establish consistent project controls, stage gates and governance across the project portfolio.
- Produce executive-level dashboards, portfolio reporting, KPIs and management information.
- Monitor portfolio risks, issues, dependencies and delivery performance.
- Facilitate governance forums, steering committees and executive reporting meetings.
- Support strategic planning, prioritisation, resource management and delivery planning.
- Conduct delivery assurance reviews, health checks and lessons learned activities.
- Lead, coach and mentor Project Managers, PMO Analysts and delivery teams on PMO best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery quality and organisational maturity.
We're looking for
- Significant experience within a PMO, Programme Management or portfolio management environment
- Experience establishing a PMO function or improving PMO governance, reporting frameworks and delivery standards.
- Experience in leading others within PMO.
- Strong knowledge of project, programme and portfolio management best practices.
- Experience producing executive-level reporting, dashboards and portfolio insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working alongside senior leadership teams.
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing portfolio risks, issues, dependencies and governance processes
- Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and MS Project.
- Experience with recognised delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or PRINCE2 (SAFe is advantageous).
- An interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and experience using AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, planning and decision-making.
