Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK
Our client, an established supplier of electronic components and technical solutions, are looking for an Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a customer-facing sales role focused on developing new business, growing existing accounts and maximising revenue across a designated customer portfolio.
Key responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK job:
- Develop and manage a profitable portfolio of existing and new customers
- Drive design-in activity and promote the full range of products and services
- Develop account strategies and identify new markets, applications and opportunities
- Manage sales enquiries through to order and take commercial ownership of customer relationships
- Achieve or exceed sales and gross profit targets
- Manage customer inventory and support VMI programmes where required
- Attend customer meetings, QBRs and industry events
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to resolve commercial and operational issues
Experience required for the Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK job:
- Strong knowledge of the electronics industry and electronic components
- Proven track record in business development and key account management
- Experience identifying new customers, markets and applications
- Commercially driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with VMI and/or customer inventory solutions desirable
- Sourcing/procurement knowledge and experience
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Experience working to sales and gross profit budgets
- Good IT skills and experience using ERP systems
