We are seeking an experienced Service Transition Manager to support a large-scale technology transformation programme within a prestigious organisation. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth transitions of supplier and service without impacting live services, and it requires a professional who has previously managed service transitions in complex, multi-supplier, enterprise environments.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead end-to-end service transition activities aligned with programme objectives and service management best practices.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Service Management, Programme Delivery, and Suppliers, ensuring service considerations are prioritized.
  • Plan and manage supplier transitions to prevent any degradation of live services.
  • Own and coordinate transition planning, governance, and reporting, including risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage knowledge transfer activities, ensuring documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date, and deliver structured knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Coordinate transition delivery in defined waves, ensuring clear entry/exit criteria are met.
  • Oversee pre- and post-transition support phases to ensure smooth handover to new supplier support models.
  • Ensure suppliers are operationally ready for go-live, including processes, tooling, access, and escalation paths.
  • Work closely with Service Delivery to ensure operational readiness, service acceptance criteria, and support models are agreed and met.
  • Provide assurance to senior stakeholders that transitions are controlled, compliant, and service safe.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Service Transition Manager in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices.
  • Demonstrable experience managing supplier transitions in large-scale, multidisciplinary digital or technology programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging confidently at all levels.
  • Experience coordinating and delivering knowledge transfer and service readiness activities.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict delivery timelines.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and governance-focused.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent service management credentials are advantageous.
